Friends from French International School!

The 3rd Braddell Heights Youth Handball Challenge 2010 took place over two tournament days on 11th (Saturday) & 16th (Thursday) December 2010. The tournament was held at Braddell Heights Community Centre, Handball Court. Braddell Heights CCC, YEC & CSC, jointly organize this tournament with the technical support from Handball Federation of Singapore. The Federation, since 2008, sanctioned this youth tournament.

Even with minimum publicity, a total of 8 youth men teams signed up for the tournament. The teams were split into two groups with Group A comprised of Team Excel (a team from the Singapore Boys Hostel), Chong Pang Youth Team B, Unity in Bedok and Ex Men, while Group B comprised of Regent Secondary School, Chong Pang Youth Team A, the French International School and Braddell Heights HIG (Youth).

The preliminary matches on 11th Dec started from 8am. Despite the immense heat under the scorching sun and unpredictable passing showers (at times), the enthusiasm from the teams and volunteers was commendable. The semi & finals took place on 16th December from 7pm with BH HIG (Youth) challenged Team Unity in Bedok for the 3rd/4th position while Ex-Men took on French International School for 1st/ 2nd position.

The Organizing Committee is honored to have the presence of Mr Seah Kian Peng, Member of Parliament for Marine Parade GRC and Adviser to Marine Parade GRC Grassroots Organizations to grace the 3rd Braddell Heights Youth Handball Challenge 2010. We are indeed very honored to have Mr Goh Kee Nguan, CEO SYOGOC & Advisor to Handball Federation of Singapore to grace the event too.
